Stax is global strategy consulting firm with offices in Chicago, New York, Boston and Colombo, Sri Lanka. Operating in an industry where reliability, diligence and trust are paramount, the company urgently needed an IT support partner they could rely on 24/7. Stax’s Colombo office supports the US operations with research, data analytics, data visualization and statistical support as well as consulting engagements of their own. Stax needs a rock solid, high performance IT system that conforms to industry best practice. Replacing an inefficient IT infrastructure and an outdated connectivity solution were also priorities. A long-term support and consultancy partnership with Eureka ensures they have this. It also ensures the IT is aligned with the firm’s evolving business and technical requirements.
Stax Sri Lanka is the Sri Lanka office of Stax Inc, a 20 year old global strategy consulting firm. Stax provides clients with fact-based analyses and insights to help executives and their teams make critical business decisions. The Colombo office also provides “brain-power” support to the US offices.
In 2014 Stax was preparing to embark on an exciting period of company growth. But an outdated IT system was causing worry and frustration. It was only a matter of time before a server and/or desktop outage caused serious disruption. They were also relying on an internet connections which were slow and unreliable. Matters were made worse by the fact that they were experiencing serious issues with their IT support. As the newly appointed IT support partner, the challenge for Eureka was to establish an IT infrastructure and connectivity solution that could provide the reliability, scalability and mitigation capabilities needed – all within budget and on time.
